Winnipeg based pop/soul/ pop singer-songwriter Matt Epp is coming back to Lethbridge with his new CD and his band, the Amorian Assembly.
He will be playing the Slice, April 20 with Jay Smith who used to play with Matt Mays and El Torpedo
“ The tour is pretty good,” he said. They began the tour in Regina, took a quick swing out to Vancouver then go all the way out to St. John’s, Newfoundland.
“It’s been a little while since we’ve been to Lethbridge. We’re pretty excited about it. We’ll be so fine tuned before be get to Lethbridge,” he said.
He is also excited about touring with Jay Smith.
The latest record is the first one Epp has been able to record with his own band.
Epp’s latest CD, “At Dawn” combines elements of soul and rock and features beautiful vocal harmonies.
“It’s the first time I’ve released a record and not just had a collection of musicians on it,” he said.
His own band is on the record to help him tell stories through music.
“It’s definitely my best work,” Epp said.
“It definitely comes close to the original vision,” he continued.
