The tour comes to the Stone, May 21.

“The set is probably 35-40 per cent new material. It’s a good mix of hits and songs everyone wants to hear with new songs. It’s a really good blend of music,” said Wesley fighting a flu bug in Toronto.

While he is enjoying touring the east coast, he is looking forward to heading back west. And while KO had to cancel tour dates in Thunder Bay and Winnipeg due to dental surgery, the show goes on with Wesley and the Rebel Emergency.

“It’s been a lot of fun, they’re great guys. They have to play three different styles of music,” he said. Wesley’s latest CD, “Easy Living,” is due to be released in July. And while he would have loved to have the Rebel Emergency on it, it was too late for this CD.
“But we’ll do something in the future,” he said.

He said the new music, which is being played on the current tour, is more upbeat and rocking.
While David Genn from the Matthew Good Band and a current member of 54-40 produced his last album, he wasn’t involved with the new one.

“Working with David was great. But it made me want to see what working with other people would be like. I worked lots of different people involved with this CD. I have the rhythm section of bedouin Soundclash It’s more eclectic
