Bandemonium show their range

E-mail Print PDF

Bandemonium’s James Oldenburg. Photo by Richard Amery I  didn’t want to miss a revamped Bandemonium at the Slice, Feb. 23 who also played the Casino on the weekend.
Bandemonium played an eclectic set that was all over the map from jazz standards, popular music and Latin music.
Guitarist / vocalist James Oldenburg, bassist Paul Holden, drummer Brad Brouwer and keyErica Hunt and Anna Venderheide singing with Bandemonium. Photo by Richard Ameryboardist Bruce MacKay added two lovely ladies to the fold.

Erica Hunt and Anna Vanderheide lent their lovely vocal harmonies  to a variety of covers including Amanda Marshall’s “Black Horse,” the Beatles ‘Here Comes the Sun,” a solid original and Bruce Cockburn’s “Wondering Where the Lions Are” and much more.

Hunt sang a sexy, sultry version of the Peggy Lee classic “Fever.” Vanderheide took the lead in another.
Together they played a hot version of “Oyo Como Va and James Oldenburg used a shot glass as a  slide.
