There are a couple excellent country shows this week.Alyssa McQuaid releases her new CD this week. Photo by Rochard Amery
Top 40 country star Eric Church, best known for his hit singles “Drink in My Hand, ” Springsteen” and  “Homeboy” visits the Enmax Centre, Feb. 23 with Colt Ford.  unfortunately the show is sold out. But on the same night, local country/ pop singer Alyssa McQuaid releases her new CD, Feb. 23 at Honkers Pub with the Coal Creek Boys and Tyrel Hawke.

Another cool country show is Leeroy Stagger and his band who return  to Casino Lethbridge,  Feb. 22 and 23. In the more country folk vein, Wool on Wolves return to the Slice, Feb. 22. There is a $10 cover for the show, which begins at approximately 9:30 p.m.

As always there are a lot of good local shows worth checking out. See the listings for details, however James Oldenburg with Brad Brouwer and Paul Holden are playing Ric’s Grill, Feb. 20 and the Herb Hicks Quartet playing the Mocha Cabana this weekend are among the highlights.

Also this weekend, Old West Favourites 4 is back to raise money for the Nord-Bridge Centre and the Lethbridge Senior Citizens Organization, Feb. 22 and Feb. 23 for three performances.

The new show music comedy revue features  the music of the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s performed by former and current New West Theatre members Erica Hunt, Scott Carpenter, Arlene Bedster, Kelly Roberts, Jordana Kohn, Andre Royer and Jeff Carlson.
The family show is appropriate for all ages.
Tickets for the evening shows at 8 p.m. are $37.50; tickets for the  matinee performance at 2 p.m. are $32.50.
Tickets are available at the Ticket Centre, on-line  or call 403.329-SEAT (7328).
