Nki Louise and Pzeudo show the ladies can kick it

E-mail Print PDF

I wasn’t sure what to expect from a female hip hop night, like the one at the Army Navy Club, April 12, but I was  impressed with the MaseOne and CKXU Nki Louise kicking it. Photo by Richard Ameryproduced show.

I only caught local talent Pzeudo and Calgary’s Nki Louise and Role Model.

I had heard plenty of good things about  Pzeudo and was justifiably impressed as she blended plenty of sultry sass with soul and a pretty solid lyrical flow.
She had everybody cheering by the end of her set.

She stormed the stage and traded lyrics with Role Model, both striding all over the stage and shouted to the enthusiastic audience to “make some noise” and raise your hands in the air.”

She also showed she had a beautiful singing voice as she took charge of the old piano on stage to play on song, and alternated between singing and rapping during it.
