Grande Prairie’s Arrival of Autumn will be performing with Edmonton death metal band Eyes of Horus plus Medicine Hat band Naraka and local metal-core band One More for the Captain.
The show begins at 8 p.m.. There is a $10 cover.

Arrival of Autumn just released a live lyric video for  “Like Fire” from their  latest album “ Shadows.” which they released last fall.
“ We’re super excited about it. It’s been an idea we‘ve been thinking about for about a year. We wanted to do something that hadn’t been done before. We wanted to  show everyone how much the Grande Prairie music scene kicks ass,” said  frontman / rhythm guitarist Jamison Friesen.  Brendan Anderson plays lead guitar and Ty Fox plays drums.

“It wasn’t always like that. When we started in 2011, it was stagnating. The one all ages venue we had closed down so we started organizing shoes,” he said.
“ it’s pretty healthy now. If you work hard, set up shows, sell tickets and put up posters, they will come and they will party,” he said.

“ And a lot of kids are starting bands now,” he said.

“ We hang out with everyone. We hang out with the hipster crowd and rock and rollers. there]s definitely more going on,” he said.
They are excited about playing Lethbridge for the first time.

“ We checked out the local bands and they are awesome. and we played with Eyes of Horus last year,” he added, noting people can expect  an exciting show.
“ There is a lot of energy and a lot of loud, fast drumming and shredding solos. It’s the right music to get you in to a mosh pit attitude,” he said summarizing the band’s love for thrash metal in two words.
“ James Hetfield (Metallica frontman). We love  the ’80s  Bay area sound. Speed and  thrash metal is  a huge influence on our sphere ever since we first picked up instruments,” he continued.
He noted the band mainly plays weekends due to their day jobs.
“We did  a longer tour when we released “Shadows” down to Vancouver and back. It was a great experience,” he said.

“ We’ve got  day jobs, but our employers are pretty cool about it. They know this is our main focus,” he said.
“ We‘re excited to play new towns and play our music for them,” he continued.
 They lyrics are quite personal.
“Lyrics are about a variety of topics  things that have happened to us and people we know it’s a little bit of everything,” he said.
“ We’re definitely excited to come to Lethbridge. Tie up your laces and put on your dancing  shoes because it’s going to be a rager,” he said.
Arrival of Autumn, Eyes of Horus, Naraka and One More for the Captain begin at 8 p.m. at the Zoo at the University of Lethbridge. Tickets are $10.
