It is always fun to see local country band Hurtin’. They know their country music.
They played an excellent show for an enthusiastic audience at the Owl Acoustic Lounge, April 8. They played everything from originals to classic country to more modern songs.
I caught parts of two sets from Taylor Ackerman, Shael and Keenan Pezderic and drummer Dustin Gergel plus steel guitarist Ryan Dyck.
Among the highlights was a Ray Price song about drinking and a solid version of Dire Straits’ “Sultan of Swing.” and John Michael Montgomery’s ’90s hit “Sold (The Grundy County Auction Incident).
There was plenty of twang and a whole lot of energy, which had a few two stepping in the aisles.
If you missed it, they are at Casino Lethbridge, April 22.
