The Wild! play new music for wild show

The Wild! are aptly named, and as much as I hate exclamation marks , the Wild!’s exclamation mark after their name is well deserved. The Wild! having a wild time at Coyote Joes, Nov. 26. photo by Richard Amery
The Kelowna rockers brought the spirit of ’70  riff rock along the lines of vintage AC DC, Nazareth and ZZ top to  Coyote Joes, Saturday, Nov. 26. I found out about it at the last minute, but they drew a good sized crowd, who slowly got in the spirit of rock and roll as The Wild! frontman Dylan Villain urged them to “make some noise.”
They played several new songs including  the new single “Ready To Roll” from their upcoming CD“ Wild At Heart.”

Their music  ranged from riff rock, heavy metal/ punk influenced  high octane rockers which got those rumps shaking to deadly, tortured slow blues including one which sounded like AC DC’s “The Jack” and older crowd favourites like “ Slow Burn.”
Dylan Villain played some  stunning blues tinged solos.

They also showed off their new rhythm guitarist “The Kid,” and to emphasize the party hearty side of the Wild!, brought out a couple of beer bongs and audience members in the middle of a song  about the Devil, to see whether the Kid or bassist Lucas Boozus could guzzle a beer the fastest. It was close, but the bassist won.
They wound down their set, with what I sure will become the Wild!’s signature song, “Party TIl You’re Dead.”
