Friday night was all about country and roots music. The Bryant Watson duo aka Pete Watson and Joel Bryant returned to the Owl Acoustic lounge, Jan 12.

I hadn’t seen them  for a while and  as it turned out, they had new songs to share as Joel Bryant, got inspired by a bad break up to write a lot of new songs.
Pete Watson laid down some sweet guitar solos wile Bryant sang his heart out.

In addition to lots of new songs they played lots of covers including an impressive version of the Allman Brothers band’s “Rambling Man, complete with harmonized guitar solos, the duo played on acoustic  guitars.

They showed equally impressive, tender vocal harmonies on a pretty version of the Eagles’ “ Peaceful, Easy Feeling.”
They ended their first set with a  cover of Johnny Cash’s “Folsom Prison Blues.”
