On Thursday November 5th rising country star Jason Benoit will perform at Coyote Joe’s. Jason is something a little different; a country music singer/songwriter hailing form a small town in Newfoundland called Fox Island River. He exploded onto the Canadian country music scene and was nominated for the CCMA 2015 Rising Star Award. His single “Gone Long Gone” has reached the top 10 on the Canadian country music charts. Jason’s smooth voice gives a modern take to traditional country music.
Joining Jason on the play bill is Shane Chisholm. Shane is well known in these parts having been raised in Claresholm. He is a 4 time CCMA winner and was the first to be voted Male Artist of the Year by the Alberta Country Music Association.

Canadian singer, songwriter and recording artist, Shane Chisholm is a four-time CCMA Award winner hailing from the small farming and ranching town of Claresholm, Alberta, Canada.
Chisholm was voted Alberta’s very first ‘Male Artist’ of the year from the Alberta Country Music Association and received a publishing deal with Ole Publishing for his debut album ‘Hitchhiking Buddha’. His single “Kickin’ Up Dust” charted at #16 in Australia.
Shane has been profiled in The American Publication “Country Weekly Magazine”, received a four-star review in the UK’s Maverick Magazine and was nominated for Country Recording of the Year through the Western Canadian Music Awards.
