Madison Violet sing beautiful harmonies in short show

Madison Violet at the Slice. Photo by Richard AmeryI caught bits and pieces of Madison Violet’s brief show at the Slice, Nov. 25.

The duo, Lisa MacIsaac and Brenley MacEachern, ended their first set with “ Cindy, Cindy,” one of my favourites off their latest CD “The Good in Goodbye.”

I arrived back to catch the last couple songs of their  second set.

Throughout MacEachern alternated between mandolin and fiddle and shared beautiful vocal harmonies with her bandmate as well as their bassist.

They left the stage without even a goodbye with “Crying,” which they said CBC played a lot.

MacIssaac switched to a battered old tenor guitar for that song.
