I made a point of checking out Bente Hansen and Jesse Plessis at the downtown branch of the Lethbridge Public Library, Wednesday, Dec. 21.Bente Hansen and Jesse Plessis play a duet. Photo by Richard Amery

They were playing a Wednesday afternoon show for an attentive crowd  of approximately 50.

They both sat at the same piano, playing a variety of Christmasy tunes including well known chestnuts like Mozart's D Major sonata as well as a variety of familiar upbeat Hungarian dances.

Their fingers flew across the keys, but Bente Hansen sat back for a spell to let Plessis shine.

Plessis  introduced the set of Hungarian dances by saying “these aren’t very Christmasy. But they’re bright and some of them are a little violent,” before switching places with Hansen at the  high end of the piano.
