Kampukasing born bluesman Al Lukas returned to the Owl Acoustic Lounge, Aug. 2 to play something a little more sedate with his trio.
They played an excellent set of jazz tinged blues music featuring lots of groovy bass and pretty guitar solos.
He played an acoustic guitar for his set.
Lukas sang in his gravelly voice like the bastard child of Tom Waits and Dr. John. They kept a good sized Owl audience pretty much enraptured throughout their first set.
I missed most of it due to being on the air at CKXU , but immensely enjoyed the jazzy groove.
