Blueprint celebrated their eighth anniversary by bringing in a whole lot of live music to the Slice, Oct. 3.

 While I missed Lab Coast, Birchbark and Calgary's Lab Coast, I did catch an energetic show from Vancouver trio Dead Soft played a mish mash of ’90s influenced rock like the Pixies mixed with The Lemonheads and just a touch of Husker Dü style ’80s punk.

 Nathaniel Epp, Keeley Rochon and Graeme McDonald played a tight set of originals with a little ambiance and a lot of volume.

The tortured, grunge influenced  “Death Is At My Door” was a highlight of their set.
