Crooked Brothers play up tempo roots music

While the Crooked Brothers were one of many hits of the 2014 South Country Fair, it sure didn’t seem that way at the Slice, Nov. 15 as they didn’t have nearly as many people there as I thought there would be.The Crooked Brothers playing some rocking roots music, Nov. 15 at the Slice.  The Winnipeg band played an array of folk, country, bluegrass and string band style music with just a touch of rock and roll and blues music.
They played a tight show  of dobro, banjo, stand up bass and  guitar plus plenty of vocal harmonies. Unfortunately I only caught the tail end of their show, which wound up around midnight.
