As promised  Calgary string band/ bluegrass band Rotary Park had a little something  for everyone as by the time I arrived, they were in full swing, jig, pop and folk, Feb. 21 at the Cave at Lethbridge College.
The Lethbridge Folk Club had a decent turnout for the Feb. 21 show.

Rotary Park played a lot of fleet fingered banjo and some fine fiddle and  the band members effortlessly switched instruments between songs while  adding superb vocal harmonies.

 They played a variety of different songs all showcasing their multi-instrumental prowess and  beautiful vocal harmonies.

 They played a spine tingling version of Simon and Garfunkel’s “ Sounds of Silence,” then launched into a couple Irish reels. They followed that up with an old blues song and an old string band song reminiscent of the Mississippi Sheiks.

They wound down their set with a fleet fingered version of bluegrass classic “ Rolling In MY Sweet Baby’s Arms” and officially ended their show.
 They were called back for an encore of “Man of Constant Sorrow,” popularized by  the movie “ O Brother where Art Thou” and officially ended their show with a Canadian Classic “ Farewell to Nova Scotia.”
