Things got a little loud at the Slice, Oct. 10 with Regina sludge rock band Black Thunder.
 I missed Lustre Creame’s opening set, but caught a solid set of modern rock from local alternative rock trio the Supervoid who played a an excellent set reminiscent of alternative rockers like the Foo Fighters and the Smashing  Pumpkins.

They dedicated their last song to Lethbridge musician RandyShaver who passed away several years ago.

Black Thunder, who have played Lethbridge many times, played  their usual strong set of big ’70s influenced riffs, drum fills and intricate bass lines.
 The played long, jammy,  groove laden songs including a few older songs and a lot of newer material.
