This month’s show, Tuesday, July 16 featured Thaine performing as a mime and promising to buy everyone a shot if he talked.

He ended up buying the round anyway after aping a local poet performing in stage, then adding some keyboards as Jolene Draper and the the Inquisitive Few played  a cover of Elton John’s “Crocodile Rock,” featuring Draper trying a tried and true rockabilly trick by standing on top of Steve Martin’s upright bass, while singing the chorus.

They also played  some originals and their cover of “ White Rabbit.”

Local country singer Amy Allred was on stage as I arrived singing a couple of heart felt Dixie Chicks songs including “Cowboy Take Me Away.”
