Peter and the Wolves returned to the Slice to rock the house ’50s style for a sold out crowd, Friday Sept. 18.

The energetic trio, fronted by keyboardist/guitarist Peter Cormier was augmented by Sydney Zadravec adding extra vocals and lead guitar while Cormier tickled the 88s behind a three quarter box of plexiglass.

Zadravec also had her own plexiglass box.

I was just in time for set two, which featured a newer favourite “Wolfman” and a new keyboard powered song “Hurry Hurricane.”

Most of their set was spirited, up tempo original ’50s style rockabilly and rock and roll. Though they added their beloved cover of blues classic “St. James Infirmary.”

Cormier played keyboards for the first half of the set before taking over on guitar midway through for a few new songs including a  highlight “El Camino Real Monterrey” and a couple of new covers.

Cormier sang Buddy Holly’s “Love’s Made A Fool of You,” and  Zadravec lead them through Bob Seger’s “Travellin’ Band.”
