Honker’s Pub went back to the ’50s for a sock hop on Saturday with Coda Blues, focussing on the ’50s, June 18..
I only caught the end of the show. There were still a few swing dancers as the band played some ’50s pop and needed with Johnny B Goode.
They played a fun set of ’50s favourites for an enthusiastic audience, who had trickled down to just a few hard core dancers by the time I arrived.
They were called back for an encore of “Mustang Sally” and Stevie Ray Vaughan’s “ This House is Rocking.”
