RING OUT THE OLD YEAR AND RING IN THE NEW!
We invite you to attend the 7th Annual Bell Ringing Ceremony (Joya-no-Kane).
Take part in striking the 3/4 ton Friendship Bell 108 times with us.
 In Buddhism it is said that there are 108 causes of suffering in the world,and every toll of the bell drives one away.

 The event will take place on December 31st at 11:30 p.m. in the Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden. 
The Visitor Centre at the Garden will be open at 11p.m. for participants.  If temperatures reach -20C or if there is a blizzard, the ceremony will be cancelled.

 Admission is FREE!  Hot beverages and refreshments will follow the Ceremony.
Please bring your own flashlight!
