 LETHBRIDGE, OCTOBER 22ND, 2012- L’ACFA Régionale de Lethbridge/Medicine Hat invites you to the 26th
annual Coup de Coeur Francophone 2012.
Le Coup de Coeur Francophone is a music festival dedicated to the discovery of new trends. The mission: “To promote and spread French song.” 172 shows will take place across Canada and the ACFA régionale de Lethbridge will host this event on Saturday, November 17th 2012.
This year, to open the show, we are pleased to welcome the African reggae artist Kibwe. Originally from Lubumbashi in Katanga, Kibwe is an artist, musician, entrepreneur, politician and business man with a story or two to share. Through his music Kibwe hopes to raise awareness about violence and poverty. Kibwe is truly an artist with a mission. He also performs for numerous benefit concerts and has created his own clothing line company. Prepare yourself for a colorful and unique African show!
The headlining artist, from Quebec, Patrice Michaud will present his new show: Le Triangle des Bermudes, where humor and storytelling will take place. Since the launch of his debut album in spring 2011, Patrice Michaud has been touring the roads of Quebec, France, Belgium and Switzerland. With more than 100 performances, the artist is part of a very select club of two or three artists from “La Belle Province” that has performed the most throughout the year. Winner of several awards, Patrice Michaud recently won the best scriptwriter for his first show.
This unifying event, considered a highlight of French musical performance in Canada, will take place Saturday, November 17th, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. at La Cité des Prairies, located at 2104 6th Avenue South, Lethbridge. Tickets are on sale now at La Cité des Prairies.
