Curated by Godspeed You Black Emperor for Calgary's Sled Island 2015!! Post rock band out of Montreal, Big Brave, is heavy but not metal, summoning a big bludgeoning sound. Don't be deceived by the stripped down stylings, for the live sound will be massive. This is the headliner that Pop Montreal Festival sent Westward as their official representatives.

To say that this band contains a member of Godspeed You Black Emperor undermines the unique sound that Montreal's Maica Mia has carved out for itself as an experimental rock group, surrounding Maica's ethereal Nico-esque vocals and heavy drone backbone added to by someone who must certainly have a name like Jonny Paradise. Nevertheless, we will also point out that bass guitarist is Mauro Pezzente of Godspeed You Black Emperor.

Obviously not huge fans of cruising, Technical Kidman is far and away unlike any the others. Dog-- they come from the ville of Montreal and the trio will step up to bat, man, forever. Their bewitched beats and electronics are to die for. We are stoker to have them on this bill.

Lethbridge-based electronic act, creating lush drone atmospheres and layers of powerful noise underscored by the odd polyrhythm or two. Having opened for the likes of Pigeon Breeders, Jung People, Boosh, and others, the subbass frequencies produced by this solo act will shake your bones and rattle your eyelids.
