Comedians perform at 2 Guys and a Pizza place.
Electric Eye is stoked to be returning to Two Guys And A Pizza Place, Wednesday May 11th for a savoury evening of stand up comedy and gourmet pizza.
Special thanks to Two Guys And A Pizza Place for their continued support of the Electric Eye Music Festival.
The comedien will start cracking jokes at 9:30 and cover for the show
is $10, but if you pick up a Providence Pass (full festival pass
available at Blueprint Entertainment, Drunken Sailor, Gas King) you get in for free.
Comedians being featuring, include:
Lance Taylor
Lance Taylor is a comedian originally from Fernie, British Columbia.
His first comedy show was with a broken down guitar he found at a pub in
Tokyo, Japan in 2010. Since then he has been
telling stories around Southern Alberta about the horrible things he
has both had happen to him, and done to people in his life (not violent
horrible, just emotional damage), you know how it is. Using upbeat songs
with happy tones to deliver raunchy truths (and some not-so-truths)
Lance lulls people into a false sense of security before hitting them
with a laugh. When he isn't writing songs about being confused about the
proper usage of the word 'fleek' he spends his time making content for
YouTube, but who isn't nowadays?
Niek Theelan
Although Niek
is relatively new to comedy, but don't let that fool you into thinking
he's new to having a great sense of humour. Living with Cerebral Palsy
meant that he spent the first few years of his life in a wheelchair, so
we can only assume that the phrase "stand-up comedy" threw him off a
little bit. When Niek is not at a local open mic night you can usually
find him on the basketball court doing his best rendition of the
Shaquille O'Neal backboard shatter or at the pub enjoying wings and beer
with friends.
Solly KP
Already recognized as a local hero
for his clever jokes and songwriting abilities, Solly's comedy
beginnings actually started with a love of improv while growing up in
Calgary. Much to his high school drama teacher's chagrin since they did
not have her approval, Solly entered Loose Moose Theatre Company's High
School Theatresports Tournament for his high school with a couple of
classmates in 2012 and won. He became a regular performer for Loose
Moose after their victory and then went on to become a member of Drama
Nutz Productions when he moved to Lethbridge to study anthropology later
that year. Aside from just being a really funny guy, Solly ran as
Lethbridge's candidate for the Rhinoceros Party of Canada in last year's
federal election and has been spending his free time training the
toughest Bug-type Pokémon team you've ever seen!
Alana Fischer
Alana is a delightfully dark comic originally from Winnipeg. She
started comedy in 2014 and instantly felt a sense of coming home. In
addition to doing stand-up, she is currently in the middle of
pre-production on a couple short films and in the process of writing one
more. When she is not pursuing her true calling onstage, she works
part-time in administration and personal coaching to support her love of
comedy. You can follow this young comic's budding career @fischeralanaj
Serena Shane
Born in Alberta, raised in Saskatchewan, this little lady is one smart,
sarcastic firecracker. Within the last couple of years, Serena Shane
has grown a stage presence oozing of sexuality and confidence. With a
background in media production, commercial painting and everything else
masculine, Serena has been sharing her scintillating experiences with
audiences everywhere.
