Welcome to a new beginning for classical music in our province. This is the Alberta Symphony Orchestra (ASO). The ASO is a charitable organization creating new ways for Albertans to discover, and fall in love with the classics. Based in Edmonton, the ASO will tour the province, bringing high-calibre music to communities big and small. The ASO was formed to ensure all Albertans have a chance to appreciate a universal art form that people have adored for centuries—and will adore for years to come.

Here’s what Albertans can expect from the ASO:

• Performances throughout the province featuring a professional formation
• Educational music programs in schools at any grade level
• Advocacy and enhancement of people’s appreciation of classical music
