Horoscopes for July 13- July 20, 2015

E-mail Print
If you know your astrology and are aware of your Sun Sign, your Moon Sign and your Rising Sign, also called the Ascendant, please read the Scopes for the Signs of all three; The Moon sign being especially important for those born in the evening or at night, likewise the Sun for those of you born at dawn or during the day. See my page on Facebook called 'Nyx Knox' for any questions or inquiries.

Aries
March 21 - April 19

The theme of the week is sensitivity, all around, for every one, mostly everywhere, and not due to one small calculation but by the sheer amount of planets highly affected by the sign Cancer. When the Sun enters Cancer and Mercury along with it for example, you can be sure this particular influence of the sign comes out verbally and through written communications. You might notice this more in social media between the end of June and late July. In your case, with your ruling planet also in the sign of the Crab tightly bunched with the Sun and Mercury, you will be feeling this heightened emotional state to the umpteenth degree. You are more Fire than you are Water, so this can have a tendency to boil your blood a bit. Keep calm and stay nurturing.

Taurus
April 20 - May 20

Venus has been riding the tail end of its time in Leo, approaching movement into the sign of the Virgin where you find the general tone of your days becoming more down to Earth with less of an often too hot to handle fiery spark, but please note, you aren't out of the woods just yet. If you can observe the last two weeks and exactly how the sign of Leo has been influencing you, then act until Friday with all of that helpful stuff in mind, using the information to slowly tend the dying embers of the last month’s busy activities.

Gemini
May 21- June 20

With Mercury entering Cancer leaving Gemini last week, don't be surprised if you find your emotions all in a tither as well as that of others. This means potential verbal outbursts most likely by you, especially in the realm of children if you have them. Or they may concern values relating to house and home and even ethics, but it could also indicate family activity around you becoming quite heavy or other people whose emotions are awry. Family and emotions flaring up sort of go hand in hand. Either way, I think it's fair to expect some friction in or around your home this coming week. Understand this sort of trial can be exactly the thing needed to bust through to new understanding, if we are willing to have our protective shells cracked; It is possible to outgrow a shell and equally possible that a shell could outgrow you. Wait, what?

Cancer
June 21 - July 22

With Mercury having entered your sign four days ago where it will remain until Aug. 5, you may find yourself having an awful lot to say mostly in the realm of how you feel. You may be wearing your emotions on your sleeve as we are all inclined to do during the Season of the Crab, that magickal time of year when you celebrate your birthday. Dodging tactics, including skirting around or deliberately avoiding issues may actually be helpful from time to time. Sometimes, facing things head on can be great and all, but sometimes, and Cancer knows this well, it's best to actually crawl away to more agreeably sandier beaches. Either that, or the famous crabby pincer technique can work wonders... It works well if you're playing the game 'Risk', anyway.

Leo
July 23 - Aug. 22

The Sun approaches the Sign of Leo, where it sits happily in a throne of sorts, wearing its crown, but not for another week and a half. Until then, you are still faced with the planet ruling your Sign opposing dark, mysterious Pluto which rules over the very nature of forces of the occult. Once again we revel, journeying still deeper into the bored tunnels of the psyche of the Lion, in the case of this week, probing the subject of the wounded warrior and healer, specifically in terms of what is honest and fair to others. The question is in the answer to Chaos, and the Uranian/Ouranian. Get in touch with your full spectrum of emotions relating to your home and familial relationship on every intimate level you can.

Virgo
Aug. 23 - Sept. 22

Venus leaves Leo entering your sign by the time the weekend rolls around. In the area of love and relationships, where the relative fires sparked of her time there die down into ashes, reducing much of the last month’s Leonine heat to a nice simmer until Friday. A sense of grounding that may feel like a breath of fresh air should kick in over the weekend leaving you a little more at home in your own skin despite any of your surroundings. With so much in the sky influenced by the sign Cancer right now, Mars, the Sun and Mercury, all conjunct, there's a lot of tension on the home-front for everyone. However, the feelings will wane by Friday, leading to a fruitful harvest of your personal best over the following days.

Horoscopes for June 6 - July 13

If you know your astrology and are aware of your sun sign, your moon sign and your rising sign, also called the ascendant, please read the scopes for the signs of all three; The moon sign being especially important for those born in the evening or at night, likewise the sun for those of you born at dawn or during the day. See my page on Facebook called 'Nyx Knox' for any questions or inquiries.

Aries
March 21 - April 19

I see that this week, for you Aries, communications by way of spontaneous and chance meetings, creatively unexpected outbursts, and showing your emotions and vulnerabilities are the important focal points, in contrast to last week. The last point though challenging encourages you to let loose with your feelings in strange ways. If there seems to be a problem or an excess of emotion, tackle it with artistic ingenuity.

Taurus
April 20 - May 20

Still more fruitful days to come in the pasture for the Bull. As Mercury enters into Cancer our emotions are charged and fuelled by the deeply rooted issues going back all the way to our childhood, worn on our sleeve in the most literal of all ways, our method of expressing ourselves. This is about the sort of expression that involves our feelings, not our image and impressions we would like to make about ourselves. Watch your words, and learn.

Gemini
May 21 - June 20

There's a watery whirlwind about you that impresses the comfort of house and home ever more still, yet creates an internal tension that may cause tempers to flare. Mum's the word doesn't necessarily mean mom is right, it just means that you have to listen to her, or else! The bright side of this circumstance is in the comforts brought when one finds themselves wholly able to admit their personal sensitivities, not just humbly but gently. There's a lot to be said for making an apology and how we receive them.

Cancer
June 21 - July 22

You are in the business of exorcising demons lately, or at least coaxing them to better living by way of co-existence. Water cannot calcify but sap turns to amber. Preserve what you can from any of the darkest, deepest remainders you are carrying with you. Nothing that has once been seen can be unseen again. We can either choose to see it under the moonlight, running in fear from ourselves or to sit still, and let what washes over us crystallize into our marrow as you reconstitute your core.

If you know your astrology and are aware of your sun sign, your moon sign and your rising sign, also called the ascendant, please read the scopes for the signs of all three; The moon sign being especially important for those born in the evening or at night as is the sun for those of you born at dawn or during the day. See my page on Facebook called 'Nyx Knox' for any questions or inquiries.

Aries
March 21 to April 19

With Mars conjunct the Sun, both in Cancer the home is a centre of importance right now especially where boundaries are concerned. As long as your ship is ran tightly, you will internally create opportunities which will catch up with you next week. Keep your friends close and your enemies far away by rooting yourself firmly in terms of house and home. You may find an advantage in weird and erratic strokes of luck through turns of events.

Taurus
April 20 to May 20

Venus in Leo is about to go retrograde in the last quarter of this month. We move in the shadow of this occurrence right now where self image is of utmost importance. Putting yourself and your talents in the spotlight is key right now. Now is not the time to be shy though watch out you don't fall pray to your own ego. Quirky pays but an artful conversationalist it does not necessarily make. The art is in the doing.

Gemini
May 21 to June 20

Work hard to grasp the subject of depth despite the want to radiate a simple beauty that shines outwardly alone, without apparent complexity. There's a lot coming up for you this week, Gemini, to aid you in highly beneficial ways. The potential downfall comes in an assumption that a quick-witted mind makes for a highly emotionally intelligent person. This may not always be the case. The work in in the doing, not just in the talking. Think on beauty and how this manifests in your life.

Some Scope for the week of May 26 - June 2, 2014

E-mail Print

If you know your astrology and are aware of your Sun Sign, your Moon Sign and your Rising Sign, also called the Ascendant, please read the Scopes for the Signs of all three; The Moon sign being especially important for those born in the evening or at night, likewise the Sun for those of you born at dawn or during the day.

Aries
March 21-23 to April 20-23

Things will likely seem to be making a bit more sense in the last week or so than they likely have in months. Puzzle pieces coming together with Mars finally ending its retrograde cycle in Libra. Social affairs will seem to get moving again and you ought to find yourself having an emotionally and communicationally stimulating week.

Taurus
April 21-23 to May 20-23

Venus Herself moves into Taurus early this week, giving life a softer feel for those of you born under this Venus ruled Sun sign. Venus in Taurus also trines Mars in Libra which is ruled by the same planet, making for harmonious social circumstances, friends coming to your assistance, receiving help, and making time for particular personal comforts has the potential to ease us more deeply than usual in coming days. Stillness is in the wind on the green pastures.

Gemini

May 21-23 to June 20-23

Your emotions may be stirring more than usual this week with Mercury's movement into Cancer, so beware of experiencing heightened sensitivity, taking things all too personally when they need not be. Remain open past feelings of critique or annoyance. There is a profound sense of grounding in the air, positive connections with a nurturing theme, and revisitation of old, possible expressly female friends.

Horoscopes Oct. 21-28: Dedicated to DJ Booda Randy Shaver

E-mail Print

Dear Readers, nay-sayers and cosmic perpetrators alike:
It's been a while, Lethbridge, since I've written to you and since a relocation to Calgary, Alberta. But I am still here and not intending to go anywhere. Before getting on with the scope, I want to shout out to Sir Mr. Randy Shaver and have to send my love to DJ Booda who worked with me through Charisma and was always nothing but ultimately lovely.

In the case of Randy, I don't think my friend would mind my saying he wasn't an astrologer or any one who would likely ever agree with astrology at all. I mean, he wouldn't want me to be overly harsh as he was awesomely empathetic, but he and I both know that when it came to astrology it just wasn't his thing... Though he seemed to have some kind of great metaphysical sense about him, in my opinion. He was extremely aware. He was also a deeply philosophical Sagittarian, and true to the nature of the sign. He spoke candidly, bluntly and seriously, especially with his Moon in Capricorn. I remember one conversation about the definition of an inquisition, and a few specific events related to the term, like the Spanish one.

We both loved the Dead Kennedys, Amanda Palmer and had the same ideas about strong female songwriters. He got me  and it didn't matter what I believed.

That's why I loved Randy. We can all take a lesson from sticking up for the underdog, saying what's unpopular, but true and tolerating that which we know we cannot justly judge others for, no matter how impartially observant we think we are being, we have to check how we're treating one and other. So, all the wit and whim of today's column goes out to him, in the light of a Gemini Moon, where the importance of communicating is everything.

Much Love,
Iris E., Astrologer, L.A. Beat

Aries
March 21-23 to April 20-23
Irritations in relationships may be present at the moment as some tension exists between the way things could be and the way they aren't. Watch in areas of personal health for how your social relationships affect your personal activities. Check where your pickinesses are prodded especially socially. Be mindful not to let them be or you may even notice physical symptoms arise more acutely or at least a bit of a shorter fuse this week. You'll also be prone to your own sentimentality, making you more sensitive than you may like to feel comfortable.

Taurus
April 21-23 to May 20-23
Prone to speaking out all too candidly at the moment, Venus gets Jovial, becoming extremely welcoming, and seeing an expanse in ideas come more swiftly than usually, but with so much Scorpio afoot the intensity may be throwing you off. Never fear, for it's all in the name of evolution, baby. Love is steadying but adverse to specifics. In other words beware the dangers of one opinion trumping another instead of finding the growth potential in varying ideas and adaptability. We cannot truly get to know each other without compromise.

Gemini
May 21-23 to June 20-23
Mercury is all suited up with Scorpio energy right now. Conjunct a Scorpio midhaven and also conjunct Saturn in the sign, as well. The psyche will be buzzing with intensity but of a heavy, tremendously looming nature, the stuff of which mystery is made up of. Scorpio encourages Gemini to stop talking. For such a verbal sign, this isn't a bad thing. There's definitely good need for the love of silence this week with Mercury retrograde.

Cancer
June 21-23 to July 20-23
Your emotions will simply be going awry though Jupiter is on your side, having come straight into Cancer now out of its long retrograde cycle. This is ultimately a good time to invest with close friends at home where you're comfortable though there is a strong need for time spent with other people, your head may feel too wired for much venturing in public.

Leo
July 21-23 to Aug. 20-23
You can feel the potentiality of strength in the air, high above us, soaring like an eagle when the golden sun shimmers in the sign of Scorpio and though it's extremely good to be getting along with Mars, so much of it around, in Venus' arena of affection we may not be so fortunate. Philosophical intensity grips the lion right now and not more demure sentiments. If you play your cards right, you see that learning from the lady's softness and not fighting to be engaged or retreating will be challenging but most rewarding.

Virgo
Aug. 21-24 to Sept. 21-23
Virgo is being directed to keep their heads together especially so, with a lot of intense astrological circumstances around the head of Mercury in its retrograde at the moment. The want and need to be socially critical will be pressing and being out and about may be more pressure than it’s worth. Take advantage of a sense of transforming overly analytical thought patterns into something entirely new and transcendent. It'll be quite a task for you.
