Necessities haunt Pop’s Pub for Hallowe’en

E-mail Print PDF

I only hit a fraction of the dozen or so Halloween gigs in Lethbridge featuring live music, Oct. 30.
The first one I hit was the best attended gig of an evening that was sorely lacking in numbers  considering the talent performing on numeorus stages in the city.Thomas Woodman and Steven Foord from the Necessities at Pop’s Pub. Photo by Richard Amery
The Necessities, all dressed as  a variety of characters had Pop’s Pub packed, Oct. 30.

As per usual , the Necessities played a tight set of mostly original folk/pop/rock which had most of the good sized crowd dancing from the first few bars of  “Brian Wells,” from their debut CD.

But they also played  a variety of popular classic rock covers including “For What It’s Worth,” and numerous others.

There were a variety of colourful and creative costumes in attendance ranging from zombie surgeons, witches, warlocks, police officers and  members of KISS, all of whom were enjoying the band’s laid back, yet upbeat vibe.
