Three new art shows begin this week in Lethbridge.
First off, there is an opening reception for two shows beginning at the Bowman Art Centre, Aug. 15. A selection of John Macdondald’s photographs have been compiled into a show called “Letters From the Edge” which runs Aug. 15-Sept. 14.
The opening reception is from 7-9 p.m. in the music room gallery at the Bowman Arts Centre ( 811-5 Ave South). And several artists are “Bridging Divides” at the Bowman Arts Centre from Aug. 15-Sept. 14. Contributing artists include Donna Bilyk, Marilyn Chamberlin, Wayne Dwornik, Julie Duschenes, Aaron Hagan and Mike Hall, Elaine Harrison, John MacDonald, Maria Madacky and Heather Sorochan. The reception for that show is also from 7-9 p.m., Aug. 15.
A new exhibition also opens in the Waterfield Gallery, upstairs in the Yates Theatre, Aug. 15.
“Fluid Visions features artists from the open Door Cafe Art Program at the Lethbridge Shelter and Resource Centre. It features works by Leon Across the Mountain, Larry Doucette, Michael William Brent Hall, Eugene Hairy Bull, Brian Jones and Willy Kien.
The opening reception is Aug. 15 from 7-9 p.m. It runs until Sept. 19.
