Friends help friends by listening to live music

E-mail Print PDF

It’s great to see friends helping friends. So it was a pleasant surprise for Ali Stuart, who had a serious cycling accident  several weeks ago and was just released from the hospital, when she came Spencer Jo and the Woodsprites returned to Lethbridge to play for Ali. Photo by Richard Ameryto the Owl Acoustic Lounge on Aug. 4 for a night of lively music and kinship.

While I missed Shaela Miller and Treeline and Redrum Triumph I caught the Celtic infusions of Spencer Jo and the Woodsprites.

Spencer Jo brought the Celtic out with the help of a fiddle player and an accordionist, who appealed, as always, to an enthusiastic crowd. They played a lot of excellent, upbeat, folk  featuring a lot of fiddle and some excellent accordion.
