It’s great to see friends helping friends. So it was a pleasant surprise for Ali Stuart, who had a serious cycling accident several weeks ago and was just released from the hospital, when she came to the Owl Acoustic Lounge on Aug. 4 for a night of lively music and kinship.
While I missed Shaela Miller and Treeline and Redrum Triumph I caught the Celtic infusions of Spencer Jo and the Woodsprites.
Spencer Jo brought the Celtic out with the help of a fiddle player and an accordionist, who appealed, as always, to an enthusiastic crowd. They played a lot of excellent, upbeat, folk featuring a lot of fiddle and some excellent accordion.
