Tom Savage Trio rock it for an intimate audience

E-mail Print PDF

Tom Savage returned to Lethbridge, Sept. 20. Photo by Richard AmeryThe Tom Savage Trio always seem to have bad luck with poor turnouts when they play Lethbridge.
Granted there was a lot going on, Sept. 20 when the Kingston, Ontario based alt-country trio , but I felt sorry for them.

They still blew away the approximately  10 people there with some high octane country tinged rock.

They played a few news songs, a few from their best known CD The County Line and a few covers of songs by Neil Young and Townes Van Zandt and had plenty of hot guitar solos backed by a solid groove.

They cut loose on extended bluesy jams complete with drum solos and were having a good time despite the small numbers.
