The Void and Tyson Wiebe help Big Brothers and Sisters for Meester Lethbridge's Birthday

E-mail Print PDF

Meester Lethbridge’s annual birthday party wasn’t as well attended as usual at the Slice, Oct. 13, which is too bad as it was a fundraiser for Big Brothers and Sisters. I missed Tyson Wiebe’s The Void rocking Meester Lethbridge's Birthday. Photo by Richard Ameryopening set however the Void performed a hot set of strongly ’90s influenced music anyway. They had a lot of energy.

Vocalist Jon Vornbrock screamed from the shadow while lead guitarist Rob Cooper played some interesting and fast paced chords as bassist Johnny Little towered over everybody while drummer Dean Wilson kept perfect time behind the drum kit.

The last two songs of the set I caught, “Wrong,” and the Pearl Jam inspired “My Days Are Numbered,” were fantastic, energetic, fast paced neo-grunge rock music.
