Scott Cook has been travelling hard since April.
“Doors are starting to open,” said the Edmonton based songwriter from a  tour stop in Duluth, Minnesota, where he is getting his first taste of winter for thScott Cook returns to Lethbridge, Dec. 9. Cook will be playing with Bill Bourne and Indio Saravanja at the Geomatic Attic, Dec. 9.
he is still touring in support of his third CD “Moonlit Rambles.”

“It’s been great,” he said. He has been all over the United States, crossed Canada, been over to Europe and is slowly playing his way back home.
“I actually made money on this tour,” he said.

Some of the highlights have been playing the Northeast regional Folk Alliance in New York and playing Europe.
“People were always telling me how nice audiences are in Europe and they’re right,” he said adding he always enjoys playing Lethbridge.
“I’ve got a lot of friends there and I’ve never played the Geomatic Attic before,” he said. He always looks forward with playing with Bill Bourne and  Indio Saravanja.
“We have about five of them. The last time all three of us were on stage together was two years ago at the Artery in Edmonton,” he recalled.

“The first time I was referred to Indio through mutual friends, I went to  hie website and the first song in, I was hooked. A lot of the songs are stories he’s heard and a lot of the others are from his own life. They’re honest and real and everything I like in a songwriter,” he praised. He noted he has always admired Bill Bourne even before Cook began  his career as a songwriter.
“Bill is always  a pleasure to be around. I’ve admired him for a long time,” Cook said.
“Bill has a very real connection to music that is very natural. So it’s a good fit,” Cook said adding he is looking forward to sharing on stage with both of them.

“When I do a solos show, I have a set list, but with a singer in the round, it’s always a surprise. One guy may play something and it will inspire another song. But I’ve got some new tunes,” he said adding he plans on playing some newer songs he has planned for a new CD  to be recorded in December and January when he gets back home to Edmonton.
“They’re all different,” he said.
He plans to release his fourth CD on May. 1.
