Toronto area singer songwriter Sarah Burton is keeping out of trouble.
“Or getting into it,” said Burton from Prince George, B.C. en-route to Rolla where she is touring with Darcy Windover.
They will be playing as a duo when they return to the Owl Acoustic Lounge, Aug. 30.
“It’s definitely more of a folk show,” she said.
“He’ll be singing backup on a couple of my songs and I’ll be singing on a couple of his songs and we’ll be playing a few songs from our band The Ole Fashion,” she said.
“Those are nice because be people listen to the words more,” she said.
They recorded an unofficial CD with The Ole Fashioned, which they are selling off the stage.
“There are three songs on that which I sing on. It’s not an official release though, we’ve been selling it off the stage though,” she said.
She released her solo CD Fire Breathers last year while Windover just released his new EP “Looking Back, Looking Forward.”
They are two weeks into their tour together.
She took about a day off after her six week tour with her full band ended which included a July show in Lethbridge as well as at the South Country Fair.
“I spent about one day at home, just enough time to watch a couple of movies,” she said. They have two more weeks together.
“Then I’ll be teaching and doing my waitressing job and, it’s unconfirmed, Luke (Stackhouse) and I will be touring with our other band Hot Peach. It’s more of a pop band. So we might be touring the United States with them,” she said.
