Lethbridge based Metallica Tribute Damage Inc: A Metallica Tribute kicked a bit of butt at Bo Diddly's, May 9.
I arrived in the middle of their first set where they were winding up a few old school, heavy Metallica with a note perfect “Seek and Destroy.”
As promised in last week’s interview, they delivered some top notch musicianship and guitarists Mark DiGiorgio and Oli Gus even looked like two different versions of Metallica frontman James Hetfield.
DiGiorgio even sounded like him.
They drew approximately 70 people into rousing cheers as they played a couple of Metallica’s radio hits “ Unforgiven too” and their cover of “Whiskey in the Jar.”
They ended the set by delving deep into Metallica’s back catalogue with a version of with Metallica's cover of Diamond Head’s “ Blitzkreig.”
