There  weren’t as many people as I expected at Galt Gardens on the afternoon of July 12  for the annual Shelter Me Party in the park event to raise awareness and some funds to end homelessness. There were plenty of Shaq rapping at Shelter Me Party in the park. Photo by Richard Ameryattractions like events for kids like an astro jump, face-painting and a dunk tank in addition to lots of live music.

I only caught a surprising acoustic set by alternative rock band Fox Eyes. They are usually loud and energetic , but payed  a more laid back set of music.Fox Eyes play an acoustic set at Shelter Me Party in the Park. Photo by Richard Amery

First Nations Rapper Shaq wound up the afternoon by bringing the beats.

The Junkman's Quire, Zachary Madigan, Lethbridge Community Taiko Association, Johnny Rains, Shayne Marie and Oztin Bowden were also on the bill.
