Winnipeg based songwriter JP Hoe brought his band (guitarist Matt Warbeck, drummer Luke Janzen, bassist Jason Pancratz and cellist Nadia Gonzalez) to the Owl Acoustic Lounge, Oct. 14 to play appealing, earnJ.P Hoe and his band at the Owl Acoustic Lounge, Oct. 14. Photo by Richard Ameryest, easygoing pop rock. He mostly played new songs from his most recent CD “Hideaway” for a good sized crowd.

Cellist Nadia Gonzalez added a soothing string to Hoe’s songs while adding beautiful vocal harmonies.

He played a couple of songs that CBC has been playing including “Nothing’s Going to Harm You,’ and “Save You.”

He showed some country influence on a song he began a capella before the band joined him and ended his set with “Love You Today.”
