There are quite a few big shows this weekend including a couple big fundraisers at Henotic.
Several musicians including Leeroy Stagger will be helping raise money for a Lethbridge dodgeball team, April 23 at Henotic. The team has several tournaments set up during the summer including one on May 7. On the bill are Leeroy Stagger, Indio Saravanja, Jenn Pellerin, Jesse Northey, Woodland Telegraph, Jared Klok, Matt Robinson and the Necessities. There will also be DJs performing upstairs. Admission is $10
Local rock band Fist City will be raising funds to help complete a fantastic new independent film called Roger’s Pass, April 24 at Henotic. In addition to the music, there will be a silent auction of original artwork from the film. Check out the trailer at WWW.ROGERSPASSMOVIE.COM. The event begins at 7 p.m.
Another cool event is the record release party for local band the Record Holder, April 23 at the Slice.
there will be a hypnotizing show at the Blarney Stone, April 24 with Asad the Uncensored hypnotist performing. Tickets are $20.
There are also open mics this week. Treeline hosts the open jam at the Slice tonight. The Slice is hosting a jazz jam as well on Wednesday with the David Renter Quartet. And some dude named Richard (yeah, that’s me) hosting Henotic’s open mic on Wednesday, open mics at Beaches Pub and at the Good Earth Coffee House as well as The Lethbridge Folk Club’s open mic on Friday.
