It is always  great to see Calgary country musician Carter Felker in Lethbridge.
He returned to the  Slice for the Windy City Opry, Wednesday, Feb. 12.

Felker and his steel guitarist and his upright bassist had an intimate audience listening intently.
Shaela Miller opened the show a little later than their usual 8 p.m. start time with two songs which will appear on her next album, including “Tidal Wave”plus a Carter Felker song, which she played on his guitar.

Felker and his band were up next, also playing new music.

Felker, who had trimmed down his bushy beard into a moustache, opened with a catchy new song about being addicted to his cell phone, then  took off with several other songs which showed off his beautiful finger-picking.

Another song about leaving a party early because his girlfriend didn’t want to stay at it, called “ Party Pooper,” which sounded like a cross between Bob Dylan and Ridley Bent.
