Live music all over Lethbridge this week

 Honker’s Pub has reopened their stage.
 Coda plays Honker’s Pub, Friday from 7-10 p.m . There is a $10 cover, with eight dollars of that going to the musicians and  the other two going to Lethbridge Firefighters charities.


The Trippy Hippys host Honker’s Pub’s afternoon jam, Saturday, Sept. 19.


Also on Sept. 19, the Geomatic Attic hosts a free local music showcase over on the North side at Legacy Park from noon to 6 p.m. The Gabriel Thaine Band open the show at noon, followed by John Wort Hannam at 1 p.m., Bailey Kate at 2 p.m., Shaela Miller at 3 p.m., fawns at 4 p.m. and Starpainter winding things up at 5 p.m.

If you want to rock and roll, Calgary based rockabilly band Peter and the Wolves make a long awaited return to the Slice, on Friday, Sept. 18.
 There is a $15 cover for the show, which begins at 8 p.m.
The Slice has another big local show and open jam on Sept. 19.
Fractures of Etalon begin the night at 9:30 p.m., followed by newly formed local Volbeat tribute Rebel Angels at 10 p.m..

Local classic rock cover band the Andi Roberts Band is up next at 10:30 p.m. and Local metal band Tyrants of Chaos wind  things up at 11 .m. with a jam to follow.

 Over at the Owl Acoustic lounge,The Dark Wrangler aka Don Cassell will be performing with bassist Dil Jopp on Friday, Sept. 18.

 The next night, singer songwriter Chris Ryan Drew will be on stage. As they are performing inside, the shows will begin around 9 p.m.


 The Lethbridge Taiko Association return to Nikka Yuko Japanese Gardens on Sunday, Sept. 20.


Local classic rock favourites the Chevelles have a two day date at the OSund Garden Over 21 club on Friday and Saturday. Doors open at 7 p.m. with the band beginning around 8 p.m. There is a $10 cover.

It is also a great weekend for comedy.


 Calgary based comedian Brittany Lyseng returns to Lethbridge to perform at Good Times, Friday, Sept. 18 at 7 p.m. and again at 9:30 . She has performed on CBC’s the Debaters, CBC Radios, Laugh Out Loud as well as is frequently played in Sirius XM comedy channels. Her debut album “Going Up,” debut at number one on iTunes upon its release in 2019.
 Tickets are $15.


 Good Times features Charles Andrew Payne on Saturday, Sept. 19. for two shows at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. he is also an actor who has appeared on MacGyver, the L Word, Wynonna Earp and on Miracle in East Texas. Tickets are $15.


Didi’s Playhouse features Drunk Improv, ; Back in the Flesh on Sept. 19.
 Tickets cost $11. Ticket buyers will be given the address to the outdoor show.


As usual, there are a lot of open mics this week. Good Times has their usual Tuesday open mic on  Sept. 15.
 Devin Gergel hosts Beaches pub’s Wednesday night open mic and Shyloh Haberman hosts the the open mic at the Slice on Thursday.
