Hell Diablo trims down for upbeat set of rock and roll

E-mail Print PDF

A trimmed Down Hell Diablo, returned to the Slice, Jan. 22. I only caught the second set.

Lead Guitarist Taylor Ackerman was playing drums for this show as Shawn Worden held down the bottom end on bass as frontman Tyler Brownfield belted out  a set of mostly original  music except for an exceptional cover of Lars Fredericksen and the Bastards’s version of Billy Bragg’s “To Have and Have Not.”

They played a searing set of gritty , punk tinged rock and roll.

A couple of the highlights were from their  CD  “Blood is the New Black,” including  “Nowhere Road.”

If you missed them, They will be back at the Slice Feb. 26 with the Suit Jacket Society
