Christmas, who moved to Calgary after graduating from the University of Lethbridge in 2012.

Christmas is excited to be back in Lethbridge.

“ I’ve been back a  couple of times to host or open a couple of events at Good Times, but they’re only 15-20 minutes. These are my first  headlining shows here and they’re about 45 minutes,” Christmas said.

“I tell a lot of personal life stories and a lot about being a queer/ bisexual comedian in Alberta. But in a few words, it’s stories and personal experiences,” he said.

Christmas performed in a lot of University of Lethbridge performances when he was  a student and went to Dublin to perform in Jay Whitehead’s play “ Tab and Landon.” He has also performed in a lot of Theatré Outré performances.

He  had to take a break from comedy during Covid, when comedic performances weren’t allowed, but now things have opened up it starting to perform and write again.

“Because  a  lot of my comedy was inspired  by my life, I found it difficult to be inspired when I  couldn’t go anywhere,” he said, adding opportunities are starting to open up including a chance to perform at Just for Laughs in Montreal.

“ It’s a comedy showcase with an audience on Feb. 28 in Calgary, but  Just For Laughs will be there, so hopefully,” Christmas said.

The Good Times shows are at 8 p.m., Friday, March 4 and Saturday, March 5. Tickets are $16.67 though Showpass. The Canadian Brewhouse show is at 8:30 p.m. in the basement. Admission is $10.
