The Lethbridge Seniors Citizen’s Organization rocked the block all day long, June 5 with several local
classic rock bands playing beginning at noon with Who’s Yer Daddy and ending with an energetic set of upbeat rock from Unzipped who played an array of hard rocking hits by Judas Priest, AC DC, Tragically Hip and Billy Idol. They called a bunch of children in the crowd to come up on stage with them and they ended the day at 9 p.m. by rocking out and dancing to ‘Rockin’ In The Free World.’
Organizer Marcie Stork was pleased with the turnout for the event as she counted 300 people taking it all in at 3 p.m. There were food and vendors as well as a beer garden and lots of music throughout the day.
“It was awesome,” she said adding they will probably do a similar event next summer.
