Local rock band Bow City Underground rocked Casino Lethbridge for the weekend, Sept. 16 and 17.

I caught part of their Sept. 17 show.
I arrived as they were tying into a cover of the Zombie’s “ Spooky.”
They spanned the decades, covering the Zombies and Beatles up to more contemporary numbers like Counting Crows’ “ Mr. Jones.”
Another highlight was a cover of the Blue Oyster Cult’s “Burning For You.”
They played a tight set featuring lots of multi-part vocal harmonies.
The delved into Canadiana with covers of Trooper’s “Boys in the Bright White Sports Car,” and an exceptional cover of Doucette’s “Mama Let Him Play.”
They showed off their country side onsome Rolling Stones as well as Dwight Yoakam’s version of “Little Sister.“
They showed their more country side with a couple Midland covers — “Baby Put the Hurt on Me” and “ Mr. Lonely.”
