“Wide Skies Re-Imagined” coming up on the evening of Wednesday, July 28 on the rooftop of the Lethbridge Park N’ Ride!! The killer double bill of Juno Award winning blues trio MonkeyJunk and critically acclaimed songwriter (and former Lethbridge resident) Leeroy Stagger & the Rebeltone Sound will perform. They are certain to provide a night to remember and blow away those COVID blues!!!!!  The details are now posted on our website, www.geomaticattic.ca,

The City of Lethbridge Park N Ride (also know as the City Centre Terminal) is located at #705 – 5th Avenue South.  Enter the Park N Ride from one of the 2 entrances on the south side (5th Avenue side) of the building. Once you enter the building there will be volunteers ready to direct you to the rooftop music area.  You will be asked for your name, number of tickets and the order number (found on your email receipt, no need to print out a hard copy as we will have a record of your transaction).

The rooftop music area is on the 5th floor of the Park N’ Ride but due to space restrictions in the elevator we will be asking you to use the stairs. If this will be an issue please let the volunteers know and we can arrange for you to use the elevator once it is available.

Washrooms for the venue are located on the main floor and our volunteers will point these out to you before you head up to the rooftop.

Attendees may bring their own chairs, blankets, food and non-alcoholic beverages but please be mindful of others by keeping the area you occupy to a minimum (ie. no lounge chairs, umbrellas or large coolers).

Note: The Geomatic Attic will be supplying a limited number of chairs and water will be available so please bring a re-usable bottle or mug. We will also have non-alcoholic beverages and snacks for sale so please consider bringing cash. All in all, best to prepared for the unexpected to ensure an enjoyable evening.

As we don’t anticipate having liquor sales on the rooftop please consider supporting a downtown restaurant patio beforehand. Or stop by the west parking lot of the Bowman Arts Centre (just east of Park N’Ride) and visit the New West Theatre Beer Garden (with live music starting at 6pm).

It’s been said before that love is a battlefield, and on his latest album Love Versus, Leeroy Stagger comes well armed. His ever-evolving fusion of roots, rock and pop reaches new heights on Love Versus, resulting in 10 tracks that confirm his status as one of Canada’s best contemporary singer/songwriters. What is most striking about Love Versus overall is the wisdom at the foundation of each track, and indeed, for anyone who has followed Stagger’s career to this point, it should be apparent that this is the album he’s been destined to make. Since first making his mark on the Canadian independent music scene at the turn of this century, Leeroy Stagger has toured the world, both on his own and with the likes of Steve Earle, Pixies, Modest Mouse and Evan Dando. After almost two decades of consistent output, Stagger certainly does have the respect of both his peers and Canada’s music industry tastemakers. However, the addition of Love Versus to his (ahem) staggering body of work opens a new chapter, promising to reach many more ears.

Born in Victoria, British Columbia and raised on a little island on the very west coast of Canada, Stagger spent most of his youth with his grandparents who exposed him to the world of country music. Developing his musical drive early on, Stagger formed his first punk rock band at age 18. Songwriting came shortly after with themes revolving around his childhood, traveling, relationships, substance abuse and the tribulations of life. Having collaborated with one of his icons, Danny Michel, Stagger found commercial success in the song, "Just in Case", which was featured twice on the television hit, Grey's Anatomy.
The life of being on the road and touring at a fast pace did not wear easily on Stagger, who at age 26, realized he had an alcohol problem that was affecting his ability to perform with the commitment and heart his songs demanded. Clean and sober since, Stagger has a strong desire to inspire young musicians that they do not have to succumb to the pitfalls of substance abuse, which can be prevalent in a musician's touring lifestyle.
