Treelines impress with tight set of indie-rock

Treelines rocking out at the Slice. Photo by Richard AmeryI was very impressed by the tail end of Vancouver indie-rock band Treelines’ set at the Slice, Nov. 26.

Treelines are the complete polar opposite to Lethbridge traditional sounding country band Treeline.

They  played an uptempo set of entertaining rock which was equal parts Cross Canadian Ragweed, Tom Petty and the Gin Blossoms with a lot of the Sheepdogs’ neo-’70s southern rock.

I wished I got there earlier as I also missed Portage and Main, with the entire show ending before midnight.
