A good sized crowd celebrated Festivus, Dec. 23 at the Owl Acoustic  Lounge.
 This was a pretty inspirational idea.
 They had the Festivus pole — an aluminum pole adorned with bicycled pedals set in the middle of the stage while Pete Watson and Joel Bryant played a solid set of original and cover songs.

 Feats of strength came courtesy of a variety of video games set up next to the stage and they even set aside time on the mic for airing of grievances.
 While there were several performers scheduled to play, I was only able to stay around for Pete Watson and Joel Bryant.

They played the songs from their new EP including  “Dusty Guitar,”  a cool drinking song “Trading Whiskey for Beer,” as well as a little bit of blues and Neil Young’s “Old Man” as well as an unusual version of Johnny Cash’s “Folsom Prison Blues.”

Bryant sang with a lot of soul and passion, while  Watson supplied  tasteful guitar solos.
