Beautiful pop from the Middle Coast

Brandon “yacht rock”  trio The Middle Coast  have embraced their parent’s music. The spirit of Hall and Oates, the Doobie Brothers, Duran Duran and even more tThe Middle Coast playing ’70s and ’80s style pop. Photo by Richard Ameryrippy Trooper was strong in the band who returned to Lethbridge to play an amazing show at the Owl Acoustic Lounge for an enthusiastic crowd, April 9.

They played an array of bright, cheerful ’70s soft rock of the kind you hear a lot on classic rock radio and a few of their own songs written in the same vein.

They were amazingly tight and their three part vocal harmonies and hooks were so sharp, you could hang your hat on them.

The guitar solos fit just right and if you weren’t paying attention you could have missed that there was no actual bassist, just the keyboardist doubling up on bass synth and synth sounds.
 It was absolutely beautiful.
