It is a good idea to support local folk/ roots musician Shaela Miller’s upcoming new CD “Bad Ideas” which is due out in March.
“I’ve already put a lot of my own money into it. I recorded it at the Farm with Edmonton producer Scott Franchuk of Riverdale Records in Edmonton who also produced the last Shaela Miller Treeline split Cd,” she said.
The Cd included band mate Ryan “Skinny” Dyck, Tyler Bird, Evan Uschenko and Paul Holden as well as a duet with Matt Patershuk.
“It’s all recorded. I just need some money to finish it,” noted Miller, adding she needs to fund mastering, mixing, promotions and manufacturing. So she launched a quick Kickstarter campaign to raise the remaining $10,000. It has already raised over $1,000. The campaign ends on Dec. 11.
There are a variety of perks available for lending a hand including house concerts, new T-shirts, patches, an advance digital download of the CD and a vinyl copy of the new record.
“I’m making vinyl this time,” she said.
