Things got a little horny at the Slice, Friday, May 27 with Vancouver “rage-funk ” band Raincity.

They played a hot, sweaty, sax powered set of female powered upbeat, yet introspective , funk fuelled music.

As expected, their set focused on their new CD “ A Proper Latte.”

I arrived int time for a laid back Jason “Don’t” from the new CD.

They had a lot of energy and haunting harmonies from lead singer Clare Twiddy and saxophonist  Kayla Chan.

Their music had a strong theme of being yourself and embracing your individuality.

Their music featured lots of hot saxophone playing, vocal harmonies that reminded me of Miss Quincy and bluesy guitar solos.

They also had a few costume and  headgear changes. Twiddy put on her silver speckled motorcycle helmet and they donned devil horns for EZ, like they had in their video f or that song.

They had a huge drum sound and even a drum solo, lots of saxophone and plenty of spooky harmonies.

They were called back for an encore of “EZ”

I missed opening act , Winnipeg’s  El Leon and the Strangers.
