Default is a Canadian post-grunge/alternative rock band from Vancouver, British Columbia. Since forming in 1999 they have released three albums, and have sold more than a million records. The majority of their fan base is in Canada, but they gained popularity in the United States for their hit singles "Wasting My Time" and "Deny".

Tickets for the show cost $25 in advance from the Blarney Stone, Boarderline, Infamous and Blueprint.

The band was discovered by Chad Kroeger, the vocalist of Nickelback (also a Canadian post-grunge/alternative rockband), when their demo tape caught his attention. Kroeger subsequently lent support and production assistance to their first and second albums. Default's debut album The Fallout achieved instant success due to strong radio play of "Wasting My Time" and "Deny". In 2002 Default won the Juno Award for "Best New Group". On April 30, 2003 the record achieved a platinum album RIAA certification, signifying a million records sold[1].

Follow-up album Elocation Failed to gain the same amount of popularity in the United States as their first album, however they did solidify their popularity in Canada. Elocation was most successful for their hit single "(Taking My) Life Away" which was played extensively on the radio and television in Canada. Their second single from "Elocation" was "Throw It All Away", which was then followed by "All She Wrote". Elocation was subsequently nominated "Best Rock Album of the Year" at the 2005 Juno Awards. The single "Count On Me" from their third album, One Thing Remains, was a hit on Canadian radio stations before the album was even released. After that, they released One Thing Remains and the album was very successful in the United States.

Default's hit single "Deny" was featured in the video and computer game NHL 2003 by EA Sports. Their song "The Memory Will Never Die" was used as a secondary theme song for WWE's WrestleMania 23. They also contributed an original song called "Blind" to Music from and Inspired by Spider-Man.

According to Default's blog on their official website, the band was originally hoping to have their fourth album finished and ready to be released by the summer/early fall of 2007, but the date was postponed to March 2008. TVT Records filed for bankruptcy in February, and was sold in a private auction to The Orchard, an online independent music distributor. The album is currently finished, and a tentative release date of March 2009 was announced in mid-2008, but the material was not released. The first single "Little Too Late" will be released to radio towards the end of May 2009 and the album will be released in July 2009. It is to be titled "Still Standing", and two tracks off of this new album are "Little Too Late" and "Goodbye".

Red Deer based Soul Side In features four members, Dan Schmidt (Lead singer), Allen Schmidt (guitar), Jayson Bacho (Drums) and Dayne Finley (Bass). In early 2007 the band joined forces with Tracey Singer as management. They spent several months writing and co-writing with the likes of Trevor Hurst (Econoline Crush) and Sean Verrault (Wide Mouth Mason). During the early months of 2008 the band packed up and headed out west to record the record with Garth Richardson and Ben Kaplan. What an amazing experience! Once the record was finished they were able to get Mike Fraser to Mix three singles off the record and Dean Maher to Mix the other 9. Both mix engineers come from very talented backgrounds working with bands such as Metallica, Rage Against the Machine, Hedley and Rise Against. In August 2008 the band had their first showcase for Ralph James president of The Agency Group. Ralph flew in from Toronto to see them do a show at the Roxy in Vancouver. Although this was an extremely far distance for them to drive to play for 20 minutes they knew it was an opportunity they couldn’t pass up. To this day they say they would of driven to Toronto and back for the same chance. After seeing the band perform he sat down with them and said “I Get It!” He has been booking shows for them ever since. The band has toured with Default, Buckcherry, The Trews, Mobile, Thornley, State of Shock, Age of Days, the Watchman, Inward Eye, and Rev Thoery to name a few. In December of 2008 Tracey Singer paired up with Chief (management of Hinder, Nickelback, Faber Drive ect) and the two of them started shopping the band aggressively in Canada and the US. The band has been getting a lot of attention across the border and labels have been flying up to check out the shows. The newly mixed record has just finished being mastered at Sterling Sound NY by Ted Jensen. Keep your eyes and ears out for the Alberta grown Soul Side In. Double Jack are a local alternative rock band

With their first single 'Tribute to Angel' charting across Lethbridge airwaves, Double Jack's stock continues to rise. The Roadhouse & Tommy G's, 'Battle of the Bands' champions have opened for 54-40 and Grady. By selling out their debut EP, 'One Chance', Double Jack has become the city's favourite new rock group.

From supporting big name acts like Ted Nugent and Snoop Dogg while with 'Suite 33', lead vocalist Marc Belisle's 4-year North American tour, has given the rising rock messiah the tools and experience to turn a room into a riot!

Marc thrives in the limelight, becoming the remaining survivor of a 150 act, Battle of the Bands in Winnipeg, at just the tender age of 15! It was only two years ago that Marc jumped off the tour bus to follow his dream of creating an eminent rock group. Marc's secret recipe includes: trachea shredding vocal melodies, shimmering guitar tone and a rumbling low end beat that could rattle loose the security at a G8 summit.

Double Jack features Jack Stevens on guitar with neck snapping licks, creatively drawing from the swirling cauldron of emotions bottled deep inside.

Notorious for abusing drum kits, Jordan 'Wild-Man' is a dead ringer for the Muppets 'Animal'…but shirtless. Carved above his six-pack, a fiercely etched scorpion.

While in the womb, Sushi's Brazilian mother would rejoice around the fire. Feeding off the Tribes samba vibrations, her fetus would inherit the gift of groove.

Double Jack is set to emerge from Southern Alberta, finally placing Lethbridge on the musical map. Their new website invades cyberspace this fall to coincide with the release of their second album. For a volatile, modern rock assault see Double Jack live.

Double Jack is:

Marc Belisle - Lead Vocals, Rhythm Guitar

Jack Stevens - Lead Guitar

Luke James Bruce - Bass Guitar, Vocals

Jordan Wildeman - Drums, Vocals
